About

Beginning Drama: Play & Pantomime

Spring Semester | Feb. 25 - May 6

(Off April 1st for Spring Break)

Saturdays | 10:00 - 11:00am

Grades 4th - 5th

Storytelling is the OG theatre! Whether gathered around a cave fire or in a Broadway theatre, the basics are the same. Stories from greats like Aesop, the Grimm Brothers & more have stood the test of time. Stone Soup, The Emperor’s New Clothes, The Tortoise and the Hare - these are just a few examples of the genre. In this class, the actors will put their own twist on a tale to create a fun, entertaining, and delightful performance.

While Play & Pantomime is the theme of our class, it is not the entire class. Students will still be working on basic fundamentals of the stage and acting including stage presence, improv, movement, public speaking, etc. This course takes a games approach to the theatre.

Instructor: Reuben Albaugh
